Land resources are the foundation of human existence. Soil erosion results in land degeneration and environmental degradation
and influences weather change. In this study
land resource condition is quantified by defining a soil erosion index in an ecotone between agriculture and animal husbandry. Applying (remote) sensing(RS)and GIS
coverages of the agricultural area and the area used for animal husbandry are put into GRID(100 m pixel resolution) and overlain. The output data are analyzed to determine type and (intensity) of soil erosion. The soil erosion background of land resource is put forward and the relationship between soil erosion and the land resource is explored. Finally
