The env ironment of the slope in Beijing ) Zhuhai expressway in Guangdong is usually not adapted to be the habitat because of the high and steep slope

soil flimsiness and soil leanness. Taking the southern segment of the expressway as an example

the environmental characteristics of the slope in the expressway were presented for the ecological slope protection. The methods of the ecological slope protection along the expressway and its construction technologies

such as hydraulic seeding

three dimensional plantnet and spray sow ing

were introduced systematically. T he slopes have been protected by using these technologies in the expressw ay

combined with eng-ineering measures including mortar rubble grid

rockbolts and wire netting. It is necessary for the technology regularization of the ecological slope protection

and native plants should be paid more at tentions.
