Geostatistics method was used to analyze the spatial distribution patterns of heavy metal elements

and Nemerow integrated index method was used to assess environmental qualities regarding heavy metals in tea-planting areas of Rizhao City.The results of assessment were then displayed with Kriging interpolation in ArcMap.T he results show that the distributions of all the heavy metals except Cd and Pb were comparatively uniform.The single factor pollution index indicate that the majority of the research areas was clean except that Cd and Ni pollution existed in some parts of the area.The spatial distribution of Nemerow integrated pollution index show that 88.41% of the research areas soil was classified as levelⅠ

and 6.44% as level Ⅱ

and 5.14% as level Ⅲ

while no area as Ⅳ and levelⅤ.
