摘要

定西市水土流失面积16726.6km

，占总土地面积的83.2%。截止2003年底，共建成水保治沟骨干工程和中小型淤地坝237座，总库容7.20×107m

。这些工程在拦泥淤地、防洪减灾、促进退耕还林(草)等方面发挥了较好的作用，同时解决了当地交通和人畜饮水问题。

Abstract

The area of soil and water loss in Dingxi Municipality is 6726.6km2

accounting for 83.2% of the total land. In the region of soil and water loss

two hundreds and thirty.seven lager and medium sediment trapping dams with the total capacity of 71.9612 million cubic meters had been established by the end of 2003. These dams play significantroles in trapping sediment

controlling floods

reducing hazards and facilitating the conversion of slope farmland to forestor grass land

improving the transportation and supplying drinking water for local resident sand livestock as well.
