This article studies morphological characteristics
distribution range and stable state of the Yiyuanchong landslide
and analyzes its deformation failure mode
failure mechanism and failure processes on the basis of geological environment investigations. T he evaluation of stability was made by calculating stability of the landslide. In accordance with the landslide's deformation failure mode and threat actuality
some controlling methods were proposed in order to achieve the ultimate goal of eliminating the disaster's potential harmfulness.
