摘要

陕北黄土高原水土流失非常严重

这是尽人皆知的事。水土流失面积6.7万平方公里

占陕北总面积8.18万平方公里的81.9%;土壤侵蚀模数每年每平方公里达1万吨;每年流入黄河的泥沙达6.7亿吨

占流入黄河泥沙总量的40%还多。由此而带来的土壤瘠薄、干旱

造成农业生产水平低且不稳

拖住了陕西省国民经济发展的后腿

使已是有名的悬河——黄河更悬而又悬

威胁着黄河下游人民生命财产的安全。水土保持工作迄今仍然是陕北一项紧迫而严重的课题。
