摘要

武都城夹在陇南北峪河与东江水沟两条泥石流沟之间

坐落在北峪河冲积扇上。城北紧靠千枚岩高山

隔江南望是拔地而起的高2

500米的陡峻山岭。城区由钟楼滩、旧城、教场坝三部分组成。北峪河河床比城中心高18米

白龙江比城心高2.30米

形成“水比城高”的危险形势。1984年8月3日上午

北峪河泥石流、东江水沟泥石流、北山诸沟泥石流、灰崖子和钟楼滩诸沟泥石流同时爆发

泥水横溢

洪积锥比比皆是。泥石流汇入白龙江

使江水流量增加1倍

导致白龙江发生了接近50年一遇的洪水

峰量1

870秒立方米。钟楼滩一片汪洋

教场坝成为湖泊

城内2/5进水

酿成了解放以来武都城最大的一次灾害。
