摘要

武都县位于大陆腹地的陇南山区中部

属西秦岭与岷山支脉。白龙江发源于岷山北侧

流经武都县汇入嘉陵江。地质构造属秦岭褶皱地区的次生褶皱带

岩层走向北西一东南向。岩性多为古生代志留纪(距今35亿年前)的灰质千枚岩、板岩、石灰岩、沙岩等浅变质碎屑岩(含有铀钼等稀有金属)

由于造山运动从志留纪起经过华力西、加里东、印支、燕山、喜马拉雅运动(原是印度洋和地中海之间的低槽

现变为高山)而造成了褶皱、断裂、挤压、破碎

特别是自龙江一带

又处于长达几百公里的复活断层线上

山高坡陡

沟壑纵横。县内海拔高度相差悬殊
