Approach on the Causes and Characteristics and Controlling Measures of the Debris Flows in Guangxi
the harms and frequency of debris flows in Guangxi are being increased. In thispaper
the causes and characteristics of the debris flows are analysed. Through investigation on the typical regions ofdebris flows
the author put forward the controlling measures with local conditions: 1. to make the evaluation on dangerdegree of debris flows; 2. to control debris flows through the policy of "avoiding"and "guiding"; 3. to manage theforestry scitentifically; 4. to make better comprehensive control on the mountains of grey silica; and 5. to enhanceaccuracy of forecasting rainstorm
