The concept of the “ digital loess plateau (DLP)” is suggested. The necessity

the purposes

and the strategy of the DLP

and some issues

such as meta data

method of the data matching and integration

and the scaling

etc.

have been discussed primarily. A framework of the DLP

including the data

the database structure

and the layers

etc.

has been planned.
